I contacted R&J Roofing after reading previous reviews on this website, requiring a quote in respect of a new roof for me semi detached house. James called round at appointed time. He reviewed the work required, and discussed the matter fully wife my wife and I. He then submitted a written quote for the work to be carried out some 4 months ahead, due to work load. This was agreed. Some 2 months into the waiting period however, James contacted us, and stated that due to better weather, he was able to bring the work forward, if we wished. A new date was agreed.
James and his team arrived on time on the agreed date. All secondary work had been completed prior to their arrival, ie skip hire and scaffolding. The work took 2 and a half days. Each day the men arrived on time, and the site was left clean and tidy at the end of day. Each day, James gave me a run down of work completed, and schedule for the next day.
The finished work looks perfect, and was carried out efficiently and on time.
Have already recommended James and his team to other interested parties.

This company did a small roofing repair for me. He went out of his way to give me the cheapest option for the repair. The work was done exactly as he described. They came when he said he would and did the repair. A little job a lot of firms wouldn’t be interested in. However I am aware my roof will need retiled in the next couple of years and it will be R& J Roofing I’ll be speaking to about it

R&J Roofing did a great job removing/tiling over an old skylight and fixing a leak in my roof. The work was completed promptly and as agreed for a competitive price. Would definitely use again and would recommend them.

A THANK YOU TO R&J ROOFING AFTER TRYING 3 ROOFERS IN MY AREA I WAS AT THE END OF MY TETHER TRYING TO GET THEM TO COME AND REPLACE SOME SLATES AFTER GIVING ME QUOTES.
SOME AGREED A DATE THEN WOULD NOT TURN UP. EVENTUALLY, I GAVE UP AS I COULD NO LONGER TAKE THE VERY FEEBLE EXPLANATIONS GIVEN . THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WITH R&J ROOFING. THEY SURVEYED THE ROOF, WERE UP FRONT ABOUT WHAT HAD TO BE DONE AND CARRIED OUT THE WORK IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER.
I COULD NOT BELEIVE MY LUCK AS OVER THE PAST TWENTY YEARS IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERIENCE THAT THE OLD SCHOOL ROOFER SEEMS TO BE DYING OUT AND WHEN TRYING TO ENGAGE SOMEONE I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH FLY BY NIGHT COWBOYS QUOTING REDICULOUS PRICES .

This was a relatively small job as it turned out. However I thought before speaking to the person who came that is was going to be huge and expensive. I was delighted when he pointed out my cheapest effective option. My knowledge of building and roofing is nil so he could have made it a much bigger job and I would have been no wiser. So an A plus there for being completely honest about my options. They squeezed this job in the following week and the finish is perfect. I am delighted after weeks of worry, 5 star in every category. My roof will need replaced in the next few years and I know what company I will be approaching. Thank you again R &J Roofing

We first used R&J Roofing by chance for a small roof repair 3 years ago shortly after moving to our 33 year old bungalow. Last autumn after water ingress into our loft we decided to have the entire roof, soffits, fascias and guttering replaced. James, Ricki and their team did a wonderful job transforming the look of our house in the time scale they had indicated. They explained clearly what the job entailed and were always polite, friendly, genuine and trustworthy. When a small problem occurred a few weeks later James attended that same day and dealt with it. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a roofing company they can trust.

Re-tiling roof. R & J carried out the work in accordance with their quotation and specified timetable. The contract required them to subcontract the provision of scaffolding and skips as well as all materials, all of which was done on time. Their team of four were entirely helpful and ccourteous throughout and I would be happy to use them again and to recommend their services to others.

I have recently had a new roof installed on my large extended bungalow in Pitcorthie Dunfermline. The complex installation was carried out to an excellent standard leaving my house looking like new. R & J Roofing which I have used for smaller roofing works were a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to strongly recommend to anyone requiring work to their roof.

We have had water ingress into our property for a period of time and have had a number of Roofing Companies come out and try and locate what the issue is to no avail.
I discussed my issue with R&J Roofing whom were honest to say that they thought they may not be able to help but would be happy to come out to at least provide some advice.
Well it was a good thing they did come out, they had a thorough inspection of the roof and quickly identified the possible issue. They then set about making a fix. What was most appreciated for me was they said that to try what they had done and to see if it worked. They also refused to take any payment as they said it was only potential fix.
We have had no water ingress since and R&J Roofing were decent enough to call me a few weeks later to check how things were.
Decent, honest company and nice genuine people.

They re-roofed my extension to a very high standard (they had previously re-roofed my garage). I will have them do my main roof when it eventually needs replacement..
I have found them very collaborative to ensure they understand requirements, diligent - completing the roof very fast to a very high standard, removed all waste materials and cleaned up after themselves....I have found them to be competitively priced on the two occasions that I have used them. They were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish..
